Garden Fresh Peppers

I have grown a great variety of peppers, both sweet and hot. It can be tricky to get a good crop but when I do they go into just about every meal one way or another. I don’t usually get too fancy with preparing just toss slices into salad, on a pizza, or grill them as a side. Although I thoroughly enjoy roasting them for the tomato soup recipe on my Garden Fresh Tomato Page or making fussy little stuffed peppers because they are so very delicious.

Stuffed Peppers by Midwest Gardening.jpg

Crisp and refreshing snack. The heatless jalepeno is VERY heatless. The Cajun Belle has a big kick for a bell pepper. A small red shouldered bell. The tiny ones are mini stuffing peppers, cute but too small. And a yum yum gold, a small yellow bell pepper.

Use any prepared herb cheese or mix up your own with your garden herbs.

Garden Sautee by Midwest Gardening.jpg

Sautee some leftover chicken with garden peppers. Great over pasta with shredded parmesan but is also good in a pita or a wrap.

These delicious stuffed bell peppers are also a great vegetarian meal. https://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/black-bean-sweet-potato-quinoa-stuffed-bell-peppers/
